REIKI - 17TH APRIL

I felt well ready for this month's Reiki session. Although I'd felt much calmer on leaving the Clinic after my acupuncture the occasional down session started coming through again on Friday.

Jan was the receptionist today, though I didn't have much time for a natter before Aureen called me into Treatment Room 2. As I was putting my bag down and taking off my coat Aureen asked how I was. I told her about my reaction to G's news, the upset, the acupuncture treatment, the special dates (birthday and anniversary) and how I was feeling then. I was still feeling emotional, as I got upset a bit again, and then a little cross with myself. As I said to her: with my beliefs about the afterlife, and the proof I've had, why am I still grieving? Her answer was simple: because I miss their physical presence. She then explained that hanging on isn't letting them progress to the next level and I said I knew that and it was another cause of frustration and anger with myself, as I don't want to be the cause of holding them back.

Aureen said that she would perform psychic surgery again, as it seemed she hadn't got it all previously.... and perhaps some of it had grown back. With that I had taken off all my jewellery (bar my crystal pieces) shoes, specs and scrunchie and got on the treatment bed, where Aureen covered me up with the blanket.

Soon after starting the treatment Aureen asked me which Chakra it was in and immediately I said heart, as I'd thought this even before she'd asked. She asked what it looked like: a ball of wool, but not the neat and tidy ones you buy from the shop - this was more like those untidy, self-wound balls of yarn that go in all directions. I thought that was it but then said that I felt that some of the tendrils from it were reaching into my throat Chakra too, as I couldn't always talk about some of it (certainly not to my DSis). When she asked me what colour it was I was initially unsure and said so, then I could clearly see it: it was mostly black, but shot through with red and told her that the red was for anger. She said it was OK, to just relax now, as she had called on Archangels Rafael and Michael and they were there helping.

Part way through the session I could feel tears start to trickle down my cheeks and I brushed them away. Aureen stopped long enough to hand me a tissue, then carried on. a while after, when the tears had stopped, I heard Aureen's voice telling me that it was alright and my heart Chakra was being filled with lots of pink light: I knew this, as I could see it swirling behind my eyelids - not the usual vivid pink, a gentler colour, along with lots of spring green (the Chakra colour). I could feel myself become more and more relaxed as the session went on and was almost on the point of zoning out into sleep when it ended.

Aureen gently touched me on the shoulder and asked if I was OK. I said I didn't have that definite feeling of something having been removed, as I did previously, but I did have the same shell-shocked sensation, a sure sign of what she had been doing. She told me that she had removed it, pulling out the tendrils from my throat, and that it had been extremely heavy - this she had passed over the Archangels Michael and Rafael, for them to take up into the Universe and transform it, whilst she then filled everywhere with pink light. I told her about seeing this and also that I had seen my Mum and Dad's faces.... and that I had said goodbye to them. She was pleased this had happened and that I'd been able to do this. She then told me she'd seen my Guide. I told her that I knew he had been there, as I'd seen him too: this time he had been wearing the moccasins and leggings I'd seen him in previously but this time he'd appeared to be bare-chested, apart from a beaded breastplate; I'd seen his face a little more qucily before seeing his dark hair in a single braid; instead of the full eagle feather bonnet on his head there were two feathers.... and as soon as I saw them I heard the words Two Feathers repeated three times. Aureen smiled and said: well now you know his name. So my Spirit Guide is called Two Feathers. :0)

Aureen then told me that she had been really surprised because when she'd seen my Guide he'd spoken to her. He'd said: My daughter is not just grieving for her parent's in this lifetime, my daughter also grieves for her parent's in another lifetime. He then told her that I'd had a previous life as a Native American.... and during that life I'd witnessed my parent's being killed in front of me. I'd carried the trauma of that over with me into this incarnation, so when my Mum and Dad died it had triggered the previous loss and that was why I am grieving so hard.... and why it feels like a part of me died when they did. She told me that, as well as doing the psychic surgery removal she had also rescued that part of me.

As I listened it felt as if several things clicked into place. I told her that it just seemed to make sense, and that it also explained a couple of things from my childhood. Whenever I was swinging on a swing I always imagined myself, and clearly saw the mental image, of myself as a Native American girl galloping on a pinto pony across a wide open plain - I later put this down to a good imagination but now wonder if it had been an actual past life memory. If ever we watched cowboy films and there was an attack on a Native American village I would get really indignant and say it was so wrong... I was always on the side of the NA's. Then there would be the state I would get into if I ever thought about my parent's dying. Yes, children do go through a phase of thinking about this but this was more than that and I would get into a real panic about it..... until I eventually learnt to block it out. It seemed to confirm a few things for Aureen, as she nodded. It also explains why the previous psychic surgeries haven't fully excised everything and why it keeps building up again.

What she said next gave me pause for thought: she would have to perform psychic surgery on me again during my next session. This time she would treat the past life trauma and heal it, as it was still affecting this lifetime, and to ensure that I don't carry it over with me into any future incarnations. OK, I understand the need for this.... but flippin' heck, the psychic surgery I've been through for this lifetime's problems have been pretty heavy - goodness knows what that is going to be like!

By this time I'd had a few sips of water and felt up to moving, so I climbed off the bed and started putting my bits and pieces back on and Aureen recommended that I take it easy for the rest of the day and have a lie down at some point. It was almost time for her next client, so I gathered everything together, thanked her and went out to reception. Jan took me into Treatment Room 1 for a chat. I told her what had been revealed by the session.... and she told me about her own past life memory and how her father from that lifetime had become her Guide. We discussed how the menopause treatment was going and I asked if she could make up some more of the herbal mix for me, as I was finding that the combination of the herbal mix and acupuncture was, in the main, working well together - I get the occasional glitch when I'm not feeling well or if I haven't had soya milk daily... and spicey foods can trigger a few flushes too. As she made up my mix we chatted a little about the upcoming Healing Course and, as it was being held in her home and Jan was feeding us each lunchtime, she double-checked what I could and couldn't eat, so I told her that I was still basically doing the Candida diet, as it suited me so well.

When the mix was ready I made my next appointment and paid my dues, thanked her and left. I didn't bother with anything else but went straight home... to an empty house, as DH and DS were out. After I'd had a quick bite to eat and sat looking through a magazine I soon realised that the recommendation to have a lie down was more of a necessity. Just as I was heading up the stairs my DH arrived home. After a quick hello and chat about what he'd been doing and what had happened with Reiki he soon realised I was struggling, so he helped me upstairs and made sure I settled OK, then left me to sleep..... for two solid hours.

A bit later, as we were sat eating our Saturday night take-out curry, I told DH that, about a month or so after my op, I'd got the sensation of not feeling quite right: beforehand I'd been buzzing with energy, getting lots done and, mostly, quite positive but afterwards.... well, I was certainly more subdued, been taking life really seriously and just didn't quite feel like "me". I felt that hadn't got anything to do with the missing ovaries and lack of monthlies, as I was glad to see them go and stop causing me problems..... I'd been looking forward to menopause and finally embracing my Crone years. Whilst I still didn't quite get the feeling of having had something removed during the psychic surgery I could now sense that something had changed and felt I was more like the real "me". He said that I certainly seemed a lot calmer than recently, though often was after Reiki.

I guess only time will tell as to whether or not it has made a real difference. :0)

Angels Watching Over Me - Jacky Newcomb

This book includes miraculous and uplifting stories of real-life contact from our loved ones and Angels on the "other side" of life, as well as a fascinating investigation into the secrets of afterlife communication.

  • Read afterlife stories about the British royal family, presidents, prime ministers and Hollywood stars!

  • The grandma who pushed her granddaughter back into her body because it wasn't her time

  • The mysterious cat who "gate-crashed" a funeral

  • The Angel Dad who saved his daughter and her friends from a head-on crash by using "missing time"

  • The grandmother who was escorted to heaven by the spirit of her late husband carrying a bunch of flowers!
Read these and more amazing real-life stories from all over the world. Learn simple and safe ways to reach out to your own family of heavenly Angels. These messages will bring comfort and healing to anyone who has lost someone.

If you ignore the slightly sensationalistic approach of the synopsis what you get is actually another collection of heartwarming stories of after-life communication from ordinary people around the world.

Unlike the other books I've read by this author this one looks more at the after-life, touching on issues such as grief, suggestions for celebrating a loved ones life, connecting to the Other Realms yourself and more besides, all illustrated by stories collated from people who have contacted Jacky about their own experiences.

As someone who is deeply interested in all things esoteric I feel the subjects really deserve a much more in-depth approach than that given but, as Jacky herself states, that just wasn't possible in such a small book. However, if you're new to the whole Angels and after-life phenomena then this book would be a nice starting point.

An Angel Held My Hand - Jacky Newcomb

From the bestselling author of An Angel Saved My Life and An Angel By my Side comes a new collection of moving real-life stories from the Afterlife that will make you laugh and cry. Inspiring. Amazing. True. Bestselling afterlife expert, Jacky Newcomb, is back with more moving and inspiring real-life dramas about people who have had 'a little help' from the other side when they most needed it. Stories include: / The baffling 'shouting' angels who saved Granddad from falling down a mine / The angels who mysteriously guided the young girl safely through the fog / The angel who wakes a mother to warn her of the house's carbon monoxide danger / The 'premonition' which saves a young girl and her grandmother from being shot on a bus / The man who was frozen to the spot so he can be saved from a falling tree / The child who writes a Christmas card for the 'ghost teacher' These are just some of the miraculous accounts in this beautiful new collection from one of the UK's leading angel experts.

I took this book into the hospital with me, as I thought it a somewhat appropriate topic to read whilst recovering from my operation. LOL

This book contains less of the writer's own experiences than the previous book I'd read (An Angel Saved my Life) and more of true life Angelic encounters from other people - ordinary men and women who were Blessed with aid from the Otherworld. Another lovely, uplifting read.

Rather than bringing the book home with me and registering it with Book Crossing I gave it to the young woman in the next bed who had been admitted the night before I came home. After she told me some of her story I felt she needed the inspiration and a little Angelic intervention of her own. :0)

REIKI - NOVEMBER

On arriving at the Clinic - a little later than I usually manage, due to sleeping through the alarm a little - I found Jan and Aureen chatting in the reception area. After saying hello Jan took my coat and said I looked a little bothered - a little, as I hate running late so had walked quite fast down the street. When I'd caught my breath Aureen took me through to the treatment room.

This time Aureen said she was going to concentrate on bringing in lots of peace, to help keep me calm for my operation, and surrounding me with lots of healing energy. As we were talking I mentioned about the names I had got in a couple of Development Circle sessions: when I think of the first name I heard I see it written in my minds eye as high up and to my left (where I "heard" it), medium sized lettering and light green colours, fairly large and with fluffy edges; on the other hand, when I think of A's name and the word job I see them low down and to my right, and as long, thin letters in white. Aureen said that it was symbolical and that I would have to work out what these things mean to me, but for her the greens for her represent the heart Chakra (love) and the fluffiness would mean that they were in need of some comfort: so she would take it that the person concerned was in need of a little more love, along with a few hugs for comfort, than usual - I said that definitely fit, as it was L's DSis and she was to undergo some treatment shortly. She didn't go into the symbolism for the other - we had to start the session and I feel she wants me to work that one out for myself....... it may take a while. LOL

So Aureen washed her hands, came back and started the CD and the session began. There was the usual movements starting the session and she held my head in her hands but very little other contact (that I was aware of) in this session. I was still aware of Aureen's movements, especially when the CD finished before the end of the session and she went over to switch it on again.... but I wasn't fully aware, as in focusing full attention on them, as I seem to do sometimes. I seemed slightly disconnected from it, though not in a negative way - I think it was more to do with being so deeply relaxed that the every day "noticing" side of my brain just wasn't concerned with those things right then.

At the end of the session Aureen gently called my name and touched my shoulder, to fetch me back, and asked if I felt peaceful. Oh, boy - did I! LOL I felt extremely peaceful and calm and a couple of times I'd actually felt like I was floating and other times it felt like I might even drift off to sleep. It was pretty obvious I was relaxed as I was slightly slurring my words initially. I then told her that I didn't know if it was due to the music or not, as it was different to the usual one, but I kept getting the oddest feeling that there had been Fairies around me and also butterfly wings and dragonflies. She laughed and said that she had also been aware of Fairies, and also Elementals, which she had thought was odd...... because the music she had played was actually an Angel music CD and she works with the Angels during her Reiki sessions. But she said that it wasn't surprising though, not only as I am a Pagan, but because I'm very strongly grounded in the Earth - they had been bringing in healing Earth energy for me. :0)

A really odd thing happened whilst Aureen held my head in her hands: I had a very clear vision of our Earth (the iconic globe as seen from space) cupped in a pair of hands - and suddenly my head was that Earth cupped in Aureen's hands and it was the weirdest sensation I've ever felt. Then it went back to the same image in front of my minds eye and the Earth changed into a crystal ball, still cupped in those hands. Then it was gone and Aureen removed her hands. I know this held a message for me.... I just have to work out what it is. Though I do feel it's relevant to what happened when I got my pack of Angel Therapy cards out the night before: I pulled out the Earth Angel card, read the details and, as I wasn't sure its message was relevant, had then put it back in the pack, shuffled again..... and out popped the Earth Angel card again. I guess it is relevant after all. :0)

Aureen then told me that part way through the session she had visualised a pyramid above the treatment bed, with the corners aligned to the four corners of the bed, and had placed us inside it. She had then visualised us inside the healing crystal cavern, within the pyramid. It made me laugh because, as I told her, believe it or not I had "seen" a quick image of the Giza pyramids and part way through the session had actually caught myself wondering if I should be doing the crystal cave meditation! She said everything showed that we had both connected extremely well during the treatment - I was so happy to have picked up on so much and am hoping that it means I am beginning to do what the message I received last week was telling me to do: to stop listening and listen.

She then told me that my Guide had appeared and stood at the bottom of the bed through much of the treatment. His message for me: he would be with me throughout on Friday and afterwards, to help give me the strength and courage to get through it. I smiled and said I had a feeling he was there, as I'd seen his face at one point during the session - it was also good to know he'd be with me, especially on Friday..... the nerves are beginning to creep in.

I then told Aureen about something that had happened on the previous day: I'd been having a nosey on eBay (as you do, LOL) when I was pulled up short by two pictures of charts that showed two different Native American's in full war bonnet style headdress. One was wearing the typical eagle feather bonnet and I enlarged the picture for a better look - great image but not enough to tempt me to buy. The other NA was wearing a bonnet made of fluffier feathers, really unusual and not one I'd seen before, so I enlarged the picture for a better look....... and promptly got the weirdest sensation in my body, sort of a dropping combined with a pulling towards the image on the computer screen - this had never happened to me before. As I told Aureen, this wouldn't be my usual choice of picture to stitch but there was something about that reaction that tells me I have to get the chart and stitch the piece for my home.

I then told her that normally, if I was ever going to stitch a NA piece, it would be for my cousin who remembers a former life as a NA brave - in fact he even remembers his death in that lifetime.... shot by a cavalryman. It was so vivid that he used to have nightmares about it when he was a child (and still doesn't sleep well as an adult). Aureen said she felt that I had probably been a NA girl in that same lifetime and had known my cousin then..... and that my Guide may well have been known to me in that lifetime too. That gave me the collywobbles and I then told her something that I hadn't shared when I told her about redoing the throat Chakra meditation at home, when I had seen my Guide with his arms outstretched towards me. I had also heard one word as he did that: Daughter. I don't know yet if it was meant as a generic term (as in, daughter in spirit, iykwim) or literally. I guess, as Aureen said, that is something that will hopefully be revealed some time in the future. :0)

As I was putting my jewellery and shoes back on I mentioned to Aureen what La had said to me as I left the Circle last week (about being sorry that I would be missing the sessions soon, but that she wouldn't miss the bossy ladies or the freezing cold). I told her that, although I had sensed something was there I hadn't known their sex or who they had been there for - I'd just assumed that, as he was right in La's aura, he was there for her..... so I felt I'd better explain that to La and ask her if he was for me. Plus also ask her (and the others) to tell me if that happens again so that I can ask whoever it is to step back and stop bothering them. Aureen said not to worry: that knowing who it was etc would gradually come to me, it's a matter of practice and reading the symbols correctly. I still think it best to check with La though......... I wouldn't want her thinking I'd deliberately ignored what was happening.

With that I gathered my bags and we headed back to reception as I thanked her. A lady was sitting on the sofa and I said hello before turning to Jan to pay my dues. I looked at the lady again when Jan introduced Aureen to her (it was her first Reiki session) - she had been one of the other attendees at the Angel Workshop, the one who lives further down the same road that I live on. I smiled at her again, then she went through for her session with Aureen. Another one of those strange coincidences...... and I do wonder if she will be joining our Circle. :0)

I paid my dues and Jan gave me a time for the next due Reiki session: the 12th December. I laughed and said that, although I'd probably be feeling very much in need of another session by then, I thought it very doubtful I'd be able to walk down to the Clinic by then. Oops! LOL

I then told Jan about the chat I'd had with the Staff Nurse about the herbal medicines I was on and that she had rung Jan as she'd wanted to speak to her about which herbs I was taking, as she'd researched them and there were certain ones that had to be stopped before having an operation. Apparently some are a blood thinner, which means problems with bleeding too much; another makes a person who has had a general anaesthetic much sleepier during and after than they should be - in all, around a dozen that could be a potential problem in various ways. So Jan felt it wise for me to stop taking the pre-food medicine after my last dose on Saturday and the post-food one after my last dose on Sunday, just to be safe. I'd already stopped taking the digestive capsules anyway. So I'll not be taking anything to keep me calm on the run up to the op now. Oh, joy! LOL

With that I was ready to leave, so she wished me well for Friday and reminded me to ring her when I was home again, to let her know how everything had gone. I thanked her and left, then rang DH to meet me in the Hospice Bookshop (far warmer in there than out on the street!) so we could go on to do some shopping. I hadn't expected to find anything in there, as I'd already raided the shelves of most of the Angel books they'd had...... but I was wrong.

As you can see I found a couple more good books to add to my esoteric collection. Strange how they've rarely had these types of books in before.... and now there are useful gems in there almost every time I go in. A big thank you to the Universe! :0)

DH arrived just as I was paying, so we went to do the shopping: a pair of slippers for me, for hospital wear (my usual sandals are looking a tad too disreputable and I don't want to be accused of spreading any nasty bacteria around ROFL; a shop in Wilko's for a couple of bits I need to take in with me and some cleaning products to stock up my cupboards. We were glad to get home after this, as the bags were heavy. The rest of the day was spent pottering doing bits and pieces around the house and DH actually got on and started cutting some of the new flooring to size, ready for it to be laid in the little bedroom - my future Craft Room. The day was completed with our regular take-out curry and an evening in front of the TV. It seemed such a mundane way to finish the day after such a wonderful Reiki session........ but at least it keeps my feet firmly planted in this world. LOL

REIKI TREATMENT - JULY

There wasn't a Reiki treatment in June due to dates not aligning, which meant Saturday 4 July was my next Reiki treatment, so off I trotted down the High Street for the appointment.

Time for a quick chat with Ann before Aureen called me through to my favourite room in the Clinic. I gave Aureen a quick run down on the encounter with my DSis's neighbour: her view was a little different and gave me something else to think about later. Aureen herself has a problem neighbour and had had two stand up shouting matches with him in the past - whilst it left her shaken the neighbour seemed to thrive on it (another of those negative souls who like to feed off bad energy). So she changed her tactic: she bombarded him with love and light, with the help of the Angelic Realms, instead - he steers well clear of her now, so it seems he can't hack it. He's still a cantankerous old so-and-so, as is my DSis's neighbour, but asking the Angelic Realms to surround them with love and light will help to neutralise some of their negative energies...... and what we send out into the world comes back to us, so reaping a little of that positive act is to our benefit. :0)

I also told her about something that happened in two recent meditations. One meditation I undertook outside, during the nice weather, when I was at a low point and decided to ask for help from my angel: though it was a warm day I was sat in the shade and there was a cool breeze but several times I felt warmth on my left side, as if someone was stood there; once again the colours were vivid in my mind's eye, this time deep pink was predominant and three times, in the midst of the colour, I got the impression of a slightly feminine face. Not clear enough to see every feature, just the impression of it. Aureen felt, as I do, that this was my guardian angel, letting me know that she was there for me.

The second meditation I decided to do one morning whilst I was still in bed and still a little upset. Whilst everything came through very clearly at the time and I understood every word spoken I struggled to recall it clearly later, but this was the gist of it: once again there was a figure stood to my left but this time she stepped forward saying "I am called Petra and I am here to help". Then she said something about an Archangel (though I can't recall which) and something about being sent from the Seventh Realm and as she placed her hands on my stomach and shoulder a feeling of warmth and calm enveloped me. I must have fallen asleep then because I started to have a really surreal dream (lots of symbolical meaning in it) and was startled awake big time when the phone rang. (Don't you just hate that? My poor heart took ages to settle down to a normal beat again! LOL)

Aureen smiled and confirmed that there is a Seventh Angelic Realm but she didn't give me much more information...... I have the feeling I need to be patient and wait, take time to develop further and then the significance of it will all become much clearer to me. :0)

On to the bed to relax under the fleecy blanket whilst Aureen went to wash her hands, then the treatment began when she returned.

This time, though my eyes closed immediately, my mind seemed determined to stay pretty active and kept wandering off at a tangent.... which initially made me wonder if I was ever going to relax enough to get into it. I really should know better by now: the things that kept my mind active were the things I needed to deal with, to acknowledge them one more time before letting them go/handing them over to the Universe to take care of. (Told you I am a slow learner, didn't I? LOL). Each thought came..... then went..... and each time I felt more relaxed and more at Peace.

There were the usual colours behind my eyes, though deep blue seemed a little more dominant this time, and that was especially vivid when Aureen worked on my third eye, and there was a flash of peacock colours in there too. Again I had the impression of wings, then a swift vision of the white dove of Peace. Aureen's hands seemed quite hot through most of the treatment and there was the distinct buzz in my ears when her hands were working on my head and occasionally there seemed to be a slight vibration through the treatment bed. When she was working on my base chakra her hands were on my hips but then I got a little confused as I could hear her walking around the bed, ready to work on the opposite side of me, but could still feel hands on my hips. Yes, just confused and not freaked out - I seem able to accept whatever happens in that room as perfectly natural. It would be good to gain that level of trust and acceptance outside of the treatment room, so I don't get into a flap whenever I see or hear anything that is "out of the ordinary"....... I so look forward to that day. :0)

As the treatment went on I gradually felt myself becoming deeply relaxed until, once again, it felt as though I was going to fall asleep. Yep, Aureen had worked her mojo on me once again. LOL

Discussing everything with Aureen afterwards she said that immediatley she started the session an Angel entered the room: he didn't say anything, just smiled and enfolded us both with his wings and brought Peace (so that explained the wings and the white dove); as she worked on me she felt my third eye was much more active and when she worked on it her own third eye got really hot and she felt the energy from her being pulled through her third eye into my body through mine, which she felt was a good sign and said I would probably start to notice that mine will become much more active now. As she worked on my throat chakra she saw deep turquoise blue (peacock colours I saw?). As for the hip thing: my base chakra was hard work to open, as it was coiled as tight as a spring - it was the wrong end of the month and I'd been getting quite a bit of discomfort this time round, so we both thought that was part of the problem. As she was working on it she was actually bent over me and a Guide came in, stood behind her and told her to stop slouching and stand up straight (she laughed and said she'd been told off, LOL) - the hands that I could feel after she moved were his, as he probably felt more help was needed there. She didn't say so but I think the Guide was mine - unfortunately, apart from the hands, I didn't see or sense anything else at the time and Aureen won't tell me more, as she feels it's part of a persons development to meet and learn more about their Guides for themselves. Fair enough. :0)

As I was getting ready to leave she then told me that there was some good news: she hopes to be re-starting the Development Circle very soon. S, the young woman who attended the Angel Workshop, is definitely interested in being part of the Circle and a woman who was having a Tarot reading that afternoon had previously expressed an interest, along with a friend of hers, so she was going to speak to her again about it. Aureen would be happy to run the group with just the four of us....... so fingers and everything else crossed that they are still interested and it starts again soon. Yay!

After saying my goodbyes I saw Ann and paid my dues but I couldn't book my next Reiki appointment: Aureen's next available date is 1 August...... the day we are travelling back from our holiday in the Lake District and there's no way we could get back in time for me to make it to the Clinic. I asked Ann to make a note that if Aureen was able to make another date in August to please let me know, so I can book a session - otherwise I just have to wait until September. After another natter with Ann I then headed home, feeling very relaxed and much more at Peace with the recent happenings. :0)

MIND, BODY & SPIRIT EVENT - MAY

DH and I went to the BSSK's Mind, Body and Spirit event at the Lincolnshire Showground on Sunday 31st May. This year it was held in the new Epic Centre building and what a difference it made: more room, things more spread out, more to see and much better rooms for the talks and music demos to be held in....... though I do feel it lost a little of the intimacy that the smaller room gave it, iykwim. We mainly went with the intention of looking at Tibetan Singing Bowls and Dragonfly Moon CD's and so I could have my aura photograph taken again, so weren't planning on much spending..... though that isn't quite how it panned out in the end!

Now normally when we go to these events we try to have a once-around-the-room first, to get an overview of what's there and where, and then go around again, zooming in on what interests us. Not this time, as we started to spot things of interest straight away. The Dragonfly Moon stall was the first one we homed in on as I immediately spotted some Tibetan Singing Bowls and began to play. :0) This was the one I picked up straight away but I couldn't get it to sing - it was a warm day and my hands were hot and sticky, not conducive to making a Singing Bowl sing! LOL I handed it over to DH with the same result, so he had the good idea of putting the little pad on his hand first, then the bowl - result! He says it has a B note - I know it's a musical note, other than that it means nothing to me...... all I know is it sounded sweet. I tried again using the same technique and this time it sang just as sweetly for me. :0) We tried three other bowls but each time were drawn back to this one, so DH went halves on the cost and it came home with us:

I shall do a separate post on this another time, as it deserves one to itself, and I'll do more pics - there's something rather special inside. :0) Scott and Susan (Dragonfly Moon duo) were doing a workshop at that time but the young chap who served us said to come back later and Scott would show us a rather nifty technique using a bowl and water...... we said we'd be back.

The next stall was The Magik Thread, my favourite book stall as it has carries lots of esoteric books and there's usually something of interest on there. For some reason I was immediately drawn to the Oracle Card section. Now I love my Archangel Oracle cards and had no intention of buying any others but as I glanced along them I suddenly spotted the Gaia Oracle Cards, so picked up the cards to have a look at the images. Beautiful just doesn't cover it - they are some of the loveliest images I've seen on these cards - and they called to me to shuffle them....... and out popped the Transformation card. This is all about Transformation and change, not being afraid and letting the beneficial happenings from the changes happen....... it was just so apt I laughed and showed it to DH. I knew I'd been led to them: the Archangel cards deal with more Spiritual things, whereas the Gaia cards are a little more earthy (naturally enough) and I feel they'll compliment each other quite nicely. After wandering a little further (clutching the box of cards in my hand) I then found two books of interest:

The crystal book will be a supplement to the Crystal Bible I already have...... the Angel Numbers book was another item I felt led to: now I can find out the message behind all those 1's I keep seeing! Yay, mystery solved! :0)

Next I spotted a stall selling magnetic jewellery, so we went for a nosey. Now my right wrist had been bugging me for a few days, feeling hot to the touch and painful below the thumb joint - so much so I was beginning to suspect RSI from too much computer mousework (Oops!). Well I decided to give one a go, especially when the lady showed me a silver coloured bangle in an interwoven style that reminded me a little of Celtic torcs. I'm glad I succumbed - within minutes of putting it on my wrist started to feel better (three days later and it's barely bothering me..... and just as much mousework has been going on!).

The books and Singing Bowl were heavy so we decided to head round to the facilities then head back to the car to pop these items in the boot and to have our packed lunch. It's a good job I did this: the catering facilities available were a little basic, to say the least, so whilst DH could have found a pre-packed sandwich to eat I'd have gone hungry because that's all there was..... and I can't currently have bread, margarine or butter. Thank goodness for yeast free tortilla wraps and a little foresight! LOL

When we'd eaten and drunk our fill we headed back inside once more. The next stall we went to was Blue Moon Goddess. This has all kinds of lovely goodies but these were the two pieces that jumped out at me:

The picture shows: Brigid as Maid; Boann as Mother and Cerridwen as Crone. Waxing, full and waning moon..... and the complete cycle of life. This will be propped in front of my altar. The other item is a fridge magnet and has a most wonderful quote by Deepak Chopra on it which is so apt and touched a spark within (it's now on the side of me freezer, so every time I come back into the house from the back garden I will see it, read it and allow it to be a reminder).

We wandered a little further, looking at the different stalls as we went..... with DH making sure we walked very quickly past the Chinese Medicine stall - after our last encounter with that lady he wasn't keen to give her the chance to sell us any more things! LOL

DH was feeling a little uncomfortable at this point, as his back had begun to ache a little (something that happens from time to time), so he headed for the Zone of Tranquility to rest his back and chill while I carried on looking at the clothes on the Prettythings stall. Everything is gorgeous but I love the Jordash range they carry, though never had the courage to wear any of it. Well, that's about to change because I gave in and bought a gorgeous purple skirt that had velvety bands running across it and a black spider web pattern on the cotton areas - it's a glorious colour! There was a stunning dress that I kept fondling: gypsy style, with lace up bodice, long flowing skirt with added lace and it went from a vivid blue at the top to purple at the bottom..... I was tempted (won't buy anything like that unless my DSis is there though - she's honest enough to tell me when I look a total dipstick in something, whereas DH would just mumble that it looks OK whilst thinking "Can we go now?" LOL). I got chatting to the stallholder
and he recognised me from previous years and saw I'd lost weight, so I was telling him about going to the Herbalist and how my blood pressure was now back to normal. That interested him, as he's been on medication for years for the same problem: he was amazed I'd done it naturally and said how well I looked too. It's nice to know that other people can see the change. :0)

When I'd paid I went over to DH, who felt OK and was ready to carry on. Noticing the time a little later we then headed up the stairs to go and listen to one of the talks. This one was by Kit Berry, the author of the Stonewylde series of books and was about how she found the Pagan path and how it led her to write the books. A reasonably interesting talk, though not quite what I was expecting. Still, it gave us an opportunity to sit for a while and it was nice to hear how an encounter with a hare led to her becoming a Pagan and changing her life around.

Next stop, when we came down to the hall again, was to have a look at the JM Soaps stall. Since last seeing him at the Elsecar event he'd introduced three new soaps to the range and they are rather nice:

The Geranium soap is a lovely delicate scent, one you could use in the bath or shower and it leave you nicely scented, so you wouldn't have to bother with perfume. The YlangYlang and Cedarwood soap I handed to DH to sniff, saying it was a man's soap and the stallholder nodded his head - he'd realised most of his soaps were feminine ones and had added this as one for the men. The Patchouli had proved to be popular, as we had one of the last couple of bars left - it's reputed to be a romance mood setting scent but is a good one for use, in incense sticks, for meditation. I shall use this to wash my hands in before meditating. :0)

I then headed for the Divine Lights aura photography stand. This was one of the things I'd planned on doing: so much has happened since last time I had first had this done I was curious to know if any changes would appear. DH pointed out that it was almost time for Dragonfly Moons performance upstairs, so I told him to go on up and I'd meet him there when I'd done (see how much more confident I am! LOL). There was quite a bit came out of this session so I shall do a separate post about it, along with the pic, at a later date. When done I headed on upstairs, full of joy, and joined DH, who was nursing a cup of tea. Luckily the guy beforehand - Keith Adams - was playing his final piece so I hadn't missed any of DM's session....... glad to have heard KA though, as what I heard was lovely. There followed a rendition of five of Scott and Susan's songs from their Rigantona's Daughters and Full Circle CD's, a really lively and toe-tapping session that everyone thoroughly enjoyed - I so wanted to get up and dance!

After the session we headed downstairs again. While DH popped to the facilities I waited for him nearby and a lady struck up a conversation about DM and their music - it was the first time she'd heard them and asked whereabouts their stall was, so I told her. She'd been struck by how nice the pair were and how much they loved the music and wanted to buy a CD. I told her DH, DS and I are fans and now make a point of going to their sessions at these events, as well as having a couple of their CD's. DH came out then, so I said goodbye and we carried on wandering around the hall. When we realised Scott and Susan were now back on their stall we headed on over so we could look at more of their CD's...... the lady I'd been speaking to was there and was trying to decide which one she wanted, so I pointed out the two CD's that contained the music she'd heard upstairs whilst DS paid for the ones we were having:

He had quite a conversation with Susan and we then mentioned that we'd bought a singing bowl earlier, at which point Scott joined us, so we mentioned that the young chap mentioned the water trick. Scott shot off and brought back the larger beaten bowl with some water in it and showed us how the sound waves affected the water when it was singing, causing droplets of water to shower out of it. When he'd got it going again he got us to put our finger into the water - freaky! It almost felt like I got a shock from it, which made me pull back quickly. I told him I'd wanted the bowl for meditation, as I'd been struggling, so he talked me through the technique - will put that in the separate post. Thanking them we left them to deal with other customers whilst we headed back to the Magik Thread stall.

After hearing the talk by the author I decided to buy the first book in her series:

It also helped that we'd received a £2.00 off voucher as we'd attended her talk. LOL I was curious to see how Pagan it is...... or if it was just buying into the claptrap that's spouted about what Pagans "get up to" - some of her Forum fan club were at the talk, so I guess there must be something in it to have gathered such a following. I reckon this will be the book I next read.

We then carried on back round the hall (one of these days I'll get hold of one of those pedometers and see just how far we do walk at one of these events! LOL), as it was very quiet by this time and we wanted one final nosey while it was so easy to see everything. This time we homed in on a stall that sold Visionary PhotoArt. I immediately spotted on called Metatron..... the Oracle card that I draw most often. Every time you look at the picture you see something different. DH was really taken by one called Venus Rising:

Venus is on the left, Metatron on the right. Venus immediately made me think of chakras. :0) DH kept asking if I wanted the Metatron piece and I said I was thinking of buying it and he promptly took it off me and said he'd get it for me: he reckoned the wall above our bed was too bare and it needed something and these would be perfect. I said: Oh, a His and Hers set of pictures and grinned - he grinned back. He's never really bothered about decorations before so the pictures obviously spoke to him.... he also plans on putting a shelf up above the chest of drawers on his side of the bed so he can put his crystals out on display too. Wow! It's not just me that's being affected by changes and I feel that these, in some way, are representations of those changes. They will be interesting pieces to meditate over. The chap was quite pleased at the two last minute sales...... I did wonder if the event wasn't quite as busy as in previous years, rather than it all being due to there being more room in this hall.

By this time it was obvious that stallholders were beginning to pack up so we quickly headed to the He Hi She Lo stall where I bought a crystal (won't say what as it's a gift) and asked if he'd do me a favour and identify a small crystal piece I'd bought from Mablethorpe. He was happy to and recognised it as Bloodstone and told me its properties - so glad that was solved, so now I know why I was drawn to buying that. :0) I thanked him and we then decided it was time to go home. As we passed the Divine Lights stall Nina and Jerry called a goodbye and Nina said she was just writing a reminder for her to ask for further healing for me. How kind is that? :0)

A busy and a bit of an expensive day out but it was soooooo worth it in so many other ways.... and it very nicely finished off what was an extremely enjoyable weekend. We both slept deeply that night!

ANGEL WORKSHOP

Saturday was the day I've so been looking forward to: the day of the Angels Light the Way, an Introduction to Angels Workshop with Aureen at the Earth Energies Clinic. :0)

After getting ready and making a packed lunch I gathered that, a couple of bottles of water, my meds and my rose quartz angel into my bag and headed off down there for the 10am start. I was the first one there, soon followed in by three other ladies. Aureen came through, greeted us and took us through to the Reiki treatment room where we took our seats.

Aureen made the introductions, gave a little Welcome speech and went on to give us a quick run through of what the workshop would cover:
  • Let there be Angels
  • What are Angels and where do they come from
  • The difference between Angels and Spirit Guides
  • Signs
  • Angelic Hierarchy
  • Angels we know well
  • Her own introduction to Angels
  • Earth Angels
  • Questions

Dinner Break
  • True Angel stories
  • Angelic music
  • Grounding
  • An inner journey to our safe place
  • Meeting your Guardian Angel
  • Affirmation to the Angels
Let There Be Angels was a reading of Aureen's own poem, which was an uplifting piece - I haven't asked for permission to put it on here so can't share, unfortunately. It was a lovely way to begin. :0)

Everything was very informal: Aureen went on to give the talk but didn't mind interruptions with questions on what was being covered, which meant a nice five-way flow developed through the day........ way better than one of those stuffed-shirt lectures where you're expected to just sit and absorb everything, while you struggle to stave off falling asleep. LOL There was no danger of that here, as it soon became apparent that we had all experienced some form of angelic intervention in our lives. The spooky thing was we had all also lost loved ones too and were also able to share some of our thoughts and feelings on that. Perhaps something that affects you so deeply makes you more open-minded to things? Certainly a very deep life lesson is learned which brings about a change within. Methinks the Universe had certainly conspired to bring us all together that day. :0)

All of the information was interesting but certain parts were more relevant for me, such as Signs (when you know an Angel is around). We'd all heard of, and appealed to, the Angel of Parking and knew it worked; then there are the little white feathers that pop up in unexpected places: this has happened to me, having found a white feather in the bottom of a paper bag that was folded up and sitting on the windowsill in the downstairs loo - admittedly it's one really weird place to find one but that's how you know it's a sign. I still have the feather, tucked into the wire wings of an Angel ornament and every time I see it it lifts my heart. :0)

As an aside: she normally sits on a cupboard in the living room and I placed her on the table today to take the pic. I got a sudden feeling of rightness when I put her there and a little voice said: yes, she's supposed to be there. The table is to the side of the front door into my home so she's obviously meant to be the embodiment of our Home Angel. :0)

Clouds are another way of seeing signs of angels and I've often glanced up and seen an Angel shape form in front of my eyes. Another one is cupped hands, though I can't remember ever seeing those..... yet! Recurring words or music is another way of receiving a message: having words pop out at you when reading a magazine, newspaper or book or on advertising banners and the like and the same music being played whenever you turn the radio, TV or car radio on. I know when, out of the blue, I suddenly start humming a particular song that my Dad is around but hadn't realised that Angelic messages were given this way. Dreams are the main way of receiving messages, at least for me: one very active dream state with much symbology (something else I've been looking into). Then there are signs from Angels using a butterfly or particular bird or animal - one that draws close to you after you've asked for help/a sign or going through a rough patch. I remember the day we went to lay flowers for Dad soon after his passing and I'd asked for a sign and along came a beautiful dragonfly, dancing around the area near to his ashes, which was a truly magical experience - we'd never seen one in all the times we'd visited Rosehill before that and haven't seen one since, so I know my appeal was answered. :0) I asked if this also held true for numbers and it does. Why numbers? Well, for ages now I will just happen to glance at a clock or timer in the house and it will be showing either 1.11, 11.01 or 11.11..... I play a game of Spider Solitaire on the computer and my score will consistently be 111. I asked about this on a Wiccan Forum and was told it was all to do with binary code and I just happened to be noticing it. Wasn't convinced though, so on 1st November last year and 11 January this year I kept my head down, just in case (as you do, LOL) - then read something recently that the number 1 is an Angelic number.......... OK, so it's now a case of working out just what message is being given.

The Angelic Hierarchy was interesting. Some of this I'd kinda picked up over the years in the way most of us accumulate knowledge, almost via osmosis, as we just go about our lives, but most was new. It was interesting to go into the Angels of the four directions, as I'll call them: Michael - South (the direction my altar faces and the one I face when praying and meditating. Purists would probably say I was doing this wrong but to me it feels right, so it will continue this way); Gabriel - West; Raphael - East and Uriel - North, their attributes and what they can help with. Again there was some new info in there and much that struck a chord - some of the things I've been doing instinctively I now fully understand the reasons for doing them. I just love those light bulb moments! LOL

The concept of Earth Angels was something I hadn't come across before and it's lovely: apparently we can all be Earth Angels, in those moments when we do a kind deed for someone. Those times when someone does something kind for us, such as carrying a heavy bag to the car for us or stopping to help when there's a problem (the list is endless) - those moments when we thank them and, without thinking, say "You're an angel"...... that's when we've met an Earth Angel. :0)

Then there are the two Angels who were once human: Metatron (the prophet and scribe Enoch) and Sandalphon (prophet Elijah, Enoch's twin brother). Metatron keeps cropping up for me, especially in the Archangel Oracle cards: he helps develop Spiritual Understanding. Before going to the Workshop I pulled a card and guess which one it was? Yup, Metatron and Spiritual Understanding.

We touched lightly on the aspect of Dark Angels, the chief of whom is Lucifer. Now I'd always been led to believe that Lucifer was the Angel who turned bad and was kicked out of heaven for it. Not quite: the Supreme Being asked for a volunteer from the top Angels who was willing to go down to Earth to help strengthen humanity's Spiritual purpose by offering constant temptation. Lucifer volunteered for the job. It's all about freewill, darkness and light and having to know one to appreciate the other....... and this immediately brought to mind what had happened during my last Reiki treatment with the Angel Daniel. Can you hear another light bulb clicking on? LOL As Aureen said: why work with the Dark when you can work wwith the Light?

It was also very interesting to learn a little more about Aureen and her own experiences. She's been working with Angels since 1969 - my jaw almost hit the floor. I was 8 years old then - she looks younger than me! She was also one of those very lucky people who has always known what she was meant to do in this lifetime and has gone on to do it, though she's glad that times are changing and people can now talk more openly about Angels and suchlike - back then it was more likely to result in a trip to the special hospital. We then had a break for lunch and a much needed toilet visit!

We all decided to stay in the room to have dinner, which gave us an opportunity to carry on chatting between ourselves. E, sat to my right, had lost her Dad to cancer and had had messages from her Spirit Guide during his illness and a close encounter with an Angel afterwards ..... she also lives at the opposite end of the road that I live on!; the lady to my left had lost her husband to cancer and had lots of happenings to relate; the young lady on her left had lost her parents within two weeks of each other, both suddenly, and worked with her Angel when she gave her treatments (Indian Head Massage). What came across was that we had all had various experiences but also all suffered from self-doubt and kept questioning if things had really happened, often putting it down to imagination..... or, as in my case, regularly being told it was our imagination and allowing ourselves to be persuaded that was the case.

Lunch and another toilet break over and it was back to business. Aureen related some true stories of Angel happenings that had happened over the years, including ones of Reiki treatments where people had felt more than Aureen's hands on them.... and I mentioned that it had happened to me too. Next we listened to some gentle music, in preparation for the guided meditation, then began by grounding ourselves. Aureen then led us into our safe place - a garden we had to visualise - then on to meet out Guardian Angel and to receive a gift from them. Well I was doing OK on the garden bit and was happily visualising my garden...... though not as it as, rather as I want it to be....... and was just trying to visualise seeing my Angel approaching when two muppets outside in the street decided to have a car horn duelling contest. To say I jumped would be an understatement - I virtually lifted off the chair in fright. That ruined it and from then on I just couldn't get back into it, as then someones mobile started beeping occasionally due to the battery dying, despite being switched off, then there was banging elsewhere and my leg and back had begun to ache because the chair was too high for me in bare feet.

Afterwards Aureen asked each of us in turn how it had gone. the lady on my left had had the same problems as me with noise and hadn't met her Angel either but E and the young lady had. E's gift was an orange, so Aureen said it could mean something as mundane as that she needed more Vitamin C in her diet. (Oranges represent luck and prosperity: E is trying to sell her Dad's house after the first sale dropped through - I wonder if it means there'll be another buyer [the luck] to whom she will sell it soon? [bringing the prosperity] I'd love to know). I can't remember the young lady's gift but she had discovered her Angel's name for the first time. So two of us need more practice at this meditation lark - well, if they stopped off all traffic from the road outside and gagged all the neighbourhood dogs I'd probably get somewhere but it isn't likely to happen, so I guess it's just keep on trying until I can zone out those noises.

Aureen then got us all to draw one of her Angel cards and we all drew something very apt. The lady to my left drew Soulmate, the same card that she'd had in a reading by Aureen back in June, which underlined the relevance of the message it gave then. I can't remember the young lady's card (I have had a few sleeps since then!) but E's was Blessings: recounting her story of seeing a golden orb with a shaft of light beaming down from the bottom in her bedroom one night, and reaching out and touching it, I certainly think she has received Angel Blessings. And my own card? I laughed when I saw it: Spiritual Guidance. So I told everyone about my own card drawing that morning, so I'm certainly being given plenty of that at the moment and need to be open and aware of more to come. :0)

Any questions? I piped up and asked: when something happens how do I stop myself from reacting with fright? I mean true heart pounding, almost doing an Yvette Fielding, fright. As I pointed out I react this way even when I've asked for something (heard a voice say "Hello Karan" when I wanted to meet my Spirit Guide and immediately panicked) - yet when I feel more than Aureen's hands on me during a Reiki treatment I just accept it. Aureen says it's about Trust: I know and trust her and the Angels she works with so am OK - I now need to Trust that when something happens outside of the treatment room that's OK too because Angels are incapable of harming us. I also need to trust myself and my own abilities.

Aureen finally closed with an affirmation, again written by herself and extremely apt, then gave us our little booklet of the information we'd covered to take home with us.

There was a bit of chatting between the other ladies and E said to me: What are the Reiki treatments with Aureen like? So I said they were wonderful and that I'd benefited greatly from them and told her a little about having the two-pronged approach from both Aureen and Jan. The room had gone quiet as everyone else started to listen too and Aureen asked me if I'd say the treatments were a Spiritual experience. I'd never thought of it that way before but yes, I had to agree - especially when they give so much inner peace. She mentioned how much I'd changed too. Yes, definitely. I then said that I'd allowed people to persuade me that the things I'd seen and felt were my imagination, so had suppressed everything, and I now felt that because I had suppressed, rather than nurtured, it had contributed a lot to all the health issues I'd since had, especially the agoraphobia and panic attacks - Aureen agreed. So I was now reclaiming myself and getting back to being the person I used to be before the health issues. E and the young lady both mentioned they would be making appointments to have treatments soon. LOL If they benefit as greatly as I am then they will find it well worth it. :0)

Aureen also took the young lady's phone number - it seems she's also interested in joining a Development Circle, so it's looking promising for it to start up again in the not too distant future. Yay!

On that note we had to leave as Jan had to shut up shop to go home, as she had someone coming for a house viewing, so we said our goodbyes and I went home. As I said to DH later, when telling him some of what had happened: it was so good to be in a room with like-minded people and be able to talk openly, knowing that everyone understood because they'd all had experiences too.

The weekend continued on a high note, as we went to a Mind, Body and Spirit event on Sunday, but I shall do a separate post about that another time.

If you've got this far please give yourself a medal. LOL Thank you for visiting. :0)

ORACLE CARDS

I've let this blog concentrate mostly on my visits to the Herbalist and Reiki practitioner recently which is a good way of keeping track of how my weight loss journey and treatment is proceeding but that doesn't necessarily make it thrilling reading at times. It's also not quite how I envisioned developing this blog either so, with that in mind, I thought it was time to start reintroducing posts on other things......... such as the things that interest me and also the tools I use as I journey along my Path.

At one of the M,B&S events I went to a couple of years ago I was having a browse on The Magick Thread book stall, one of my regular stop offs. Actually to call it a book stall doesn't quite do it justice, as they also sell Tarot and Oracle cards of all descriptions, the cloths to do spreads on and bags to hold them in, Almanacs, Diaries (pocket and larger), calendars etc etc - many with a Pagan/Wiccan theme. As I browsed I found myself being drawn to a particular set of Oracle cards so, having learnt not to ignore this instinct, I bought them. The cards are the Archangel Oracle cards by Doreen Virtue:

Inside the box is a small guidebook that gives details of how to use the cards in various ways, explains a little about each angel and what message they have and a more in-depth explanation of that message. There are also 45 cards: the deck is based on 15 archangels drawn from Jewish, Cabalistic, Christian, Catholic and Islamist traditions, with 3 cards with different meanings for each archangel. The artwork on them is just beautiful:

So what's a Pagan doing believeing in angels - surely it's a contradicition? Well I don't see it that way, as I think we all have a guardian angel, no matter what our faith or belief system, and that this has been the case since humans first started walking on Mother Earth....... and, let's face it, our ancestors were, originally, Goddess worshipping Pagans. Before the current main patriarchal religions evolved there was established belief in spirits of nature, beings of light and energy, that were inherent in all living things - especially so by the Celts, who also believed that all people had what they called an Anam Cara (or Anam Chara) > a Soul Friend....... and what better description of a guardian angel can you find? :0)

Since buying the cards I've used them whenever I've felt the need, or felt drawn to do so, and have always had a relevant message or messages from them. How do I know? I'll share a couple of examples.

Having told Aureen I was interested in her Development Circle and before having the last, and very enlightening, visit to see Jan I pulled this card:

The additional message: Your Spiritual understanding is rising to another level, as you open up to new ways of looking at life. Keep an open mind, and let go of limited thinking and illusions. Pay attention to signs - information that comes to you three times or more. Notice geometric shapes and symbols in your physical and psychic vision. Know that your increased awareness may shift your relationships and career goals. I'll guide you through these changes so your life mirrors your inner experiences.

Working with Archangel Raziel: As the wizard and alchemist of the angelic realm, Raziel helps us understand ideas that defy normal logic. He expands and challenges everyday thinking in ways that ultimately have healing effects. If you hunger for deep spiritual understanding, ask Raziel to enter your dreams. You'll soul travel with him to classrooms where he'll help you uncover truths and secrets. Upon awakening, you may not fully remember or understand Raziel's teachings, yet this knowledge is permanently imbedded in your subconscious, where it guides you throughout each day.

Speaking to Jan just a few days after pulling this card I revealed I was a Pagan which led to an extremely interesting talk on related things. She also told me about the plans she had for the Clinic and of how she would then be able to develop the Spiritual aspect to it, which she felt more and more drawn to do, and the types of workshops she would like to offer. I was pretty excited about it all, as much of what she will introduce is of interest to me and will also help me to develop my own Spiritual side - the first of these is the Angel Workshop at the end of May. Just as I'm starting to go back out into the world....... the doors present themselves and begin to open and as I start to do more of what I feel drawn to do and my own Spirituality develops then my outlook, awareness and goals will be bound to change and all should be for the better. :0)

Coincidentally, since drawing this card my dreams have been a little more vivid and full of symbology - though not necessarily of the geometrical kind. I've also been noticing little white feathers turning up all over the place too. :0)

As I finished taking the pics of the cards I got the urge to shuffle them and pull another. As I prepared to do this I had two questions rolling around in my head: What do I need to know? Who is with me? Normally it's best just to focus on one question but, try as I might, I still had both buzzing in my head - so I went ahead and began shuffling them. As I did this two cards seemed to almost jump out of the stack, so I took them and put them on the cloth:

What do I need to know? The Prioritize card with Archangel Metatron was the top card.

Additional message: What's your calling? What makes your heart sing? When you focus on these areas your joyful energy increases, which benefits everyone. Take charge of your schedule and spend more time on projects and activities close to your heart. Make choices that honour your priorities and support your life's mission.

Working with Archangel Metatron: Metatron is one of two archangels who once walked upon Earth as human men (the other one is Sandalphon). Metatron was the prophet and scribe, Enoch, who ascended after his exemplary Earth life. He continues working as a scribe and record keeper in heaven. He helps people develop organizational and record-keeping skills as well. When you call upon Metatron he motivates you to organize your priorities.

Well, if anyone needed help in getting organized then it's definitely me! LOL There are so many things I want to do and struggle to fit in because I'm not sure which to prioritise - which means I either flit round like a butterfly, doing a little on this and a little on that, and getting nowhere fast.... or take the lazy option and don't bother because it's much less hassle. There are so many projects that have been on the back burner for a long time, especially in the house jobs department, that they've got to an overwhelming level and it's difficult to know which to begin with, so the floundering carries over there too. So the message is loud and clear there!

Who is with me? The Hello from Heaven card with Archangel Azrael was the second card.

Additional message: Your loved ones aren't far away; in fact, they're quite near. In your quiet moments you can feel their presence. These really are true visitations and I ask you to trust your intuition. You may notice dream visits from deceased loved ones. Know that your loved ones are happy, free of all suffering, and want the same for you. Your loved ones want to work with your guardian angel to help you be peaceful, so watch for other signs from heaven.

Working with Archangel Azrael: Azrael is know as "The Angel of Death" since his primary role is to help people cross over to heaven at the time of their physical death. Far from being a morbid role, Azrael surrounds the newly crossed-over soul with loving light to make the experience uplifting and comforting. Azrael helps deceased loved ones make contact with their living family members and friends. You can ask Azrael to bring you a message or dream visitation from your loved ones in heaven.

My jaw dropped with this one as not only is it so relevant but I'd been thinking of my Mum and Dad again just that morning and especially remembering the hospital visits to see Dad, prior to him being taken to the hospice. These days I quickly shake those thoughts off, as they're not happy ones and it's not how I want to remember him. Glad to say that I do occasionally have those dream visits and also have those feelings that certain loved ones are around. It's usually something small and innocuous: starting to hum a particular song that Dad loved, suddenly realising what I'm doing and feeling that he was near; or one of Mum's sayings popping into my head, out of the blue, and getting a sense of not being alone. Then there are the messages from my Tarot reader, from Aureen and again from Ian Lawman at the Psychic evening we went to last year - all relevant and all confirming that our loved ones are still around, even though we can't always see (or sense) them. :0)

So that's why I both use these cards and love them: they are full of beautiful imagery and give positive, helpful and relevant messages when consulted.

REIKI

Last Saturday I went for my first proper Reiki session at the Earth Energies Clinic which is just a few minutes walk down the local High Street. I'm not sure quite what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't what happened. :0)

Aureen, the practitioner, introduced herself and gave me the gist of what she was going to do and asked me to take note of any sensations or feelings I may have, then asked me to remove all metal I could: off came my rings, a necklace, a bracelet with a metal tag and also my glasses. I then laid on a therapy bed, was covered with a fleecy blanket, the blind closed to darken the room, a CD of relaxing music put in the machine and the treatment began.

Initially I laid there with various thoughts tripping through my head: could do with a poster on the ceiling; wonder if I'll feel anything?; how long have I been here so far?; will I get any benefit from this? etc etc. She placed her hands under my head for a while - shortly after I suddenly had to close my eyes, felt myself relax and then give myself over to whatever was happening. I was vaguely aware of Aureen as she slowly moved to work on different parts of my body, gently touching some areas: head, feet, face, heart and solar plexus chakras. Normally I'm very careful about who invades my personal space but I didn't mind her touch at all and had total trust in her - very unusual, especially as this was the first time I'd ever met her.

Some time later Aureen lightly touched my shoulder, gently called my name and asked if I was OK. OK? I was so relaxed I'd almost fallen asleep and was slurring my words so much initially I told her it felt like I'd had a few drinks! She helped me sit up and gave me a glass of Evian water to sip on. Had I felt anything? Well, through most of the session I kept getting the distinct impression there was someone standing over to the right of the table, near the corner of the room, and occasionally it sounded like there was more than Aureen gently walking around in there. I was also thoroughly relaxed, more than I've ever felt in a very long time.

Explanation: the presence I sensed over by the corner was my Guardian Angel, and she's a lovely, pink angel. Funnily enough, though I'm not a pink person and it's far from my favourite colour, for a while now I've been looking for a small carved rose quartz angel to keep in the house, rose quartz being pink and a gentle, loving crystal - not come across one I am drawn to yet, so still haven't bought one, but I'll know it when I find it. Aureen works with angels and she says they were waiting for her to arrive at the clinic that day, eager to work, and all the sessions had gone really well. I told her about the Aura photographer telling me I needed to ask the angels to take me to a healing room to give me much needed. I had asked and it very much looks like my prayers were answered. :0)

What I didn't tell her was that at one point I forced my eyes open to check where she was. It felt like there was someone stood at my head and at my feet but when I looked Aureen was stood by my side, working on my heart and solar plexus chakras. Mentally shrugging and totally unfreaked I just closed my eyes and gave myself over to the treatment again.

What should have been an hours session went on for an hour and a half and it honestly didn't feel like it at all. Aureen explained the reason it took longer: imagine a ball of yarn but instead of wool it's actually made up of tightly wound black elastic that is sat between my heart and solar plexus chakras and that elastic is all the guilt, anger, grief and similar negative emotions that I'm carrying around with me. Trying to remove it was hard work - as fast as she tried to pull it out from me it snapped back because I kept pulling it back, not ready to let go. She called on Archangel Michael to help and started again: as she pulled out the negative elastic strands He cut them off. Unfortunately it's so deeply entrenched they couldn't get it all, so Aureen said I would benefit from a further treatment should I wish it.

Sounds too weird for you? Then look at it this way: over the last few years I've let myself sink deeply into a pattern of negative thought processes that have built up and caused dis-ease to my whole system - this is now manifesting itself in actual physical symptoms (raised blood pressure etc), so I'm literally making myself ill. For the sake of my health and general well-being I now need to accept all that has happened, especially concerning the loss of my parents, and that it all happened as it was meant to; to acknowledge that I can't change anything, so regularly mulling over it is pointless and damaging, and, finally, I need to let go of all that negativity.

Though I'd already worked all this out for myself knowing it's time to let go and actually doing so are two entirely different matters, much easier said than done. Having someone else point it out reinforces the realisation though and whatever Aureen (and the angels) did seems to be working nicely - I was literally buzzing with energy for days afterwards (unfortunately sleep deprivation, due to DH being away in Italy, has taken the edge off that somewhat now. LOL).

I would heartily recommend having a Reiki treatment to anyone - you don't have to believe in angels and chakras or anything like that to feel the benefit of what is a very positive and relaxing experience. Oh and though I am a Pagan I do believe in angels...... they're not solely a Christian concept. :0)

After the treatment Aureen then went on to give me both a Tarot and Angel card readings - again I got way more than I bargained on but in a very positive way. More about that in another post though, as this is already quite a long one. :0)
